  • Dear Mr. President

It’s been a while since I wrote, been pretty busy, been a bit under the weather but had to write. I know what all the pundits are saying but I haven’t met you so I don’t know your real intentions. All I know is what I see going on around you, I have info about the people you appoint, I can review your past history of activism and now what you’re attempting to do on behalf of the minority of our country, i.e., passing a health care plan. See Mr. President according to my research 18% of Americans are without health insurance – that means that 82% of Americans have health insurance. I agree our system needs to reformed – companies need to be able to offer health insurance across state lines. I would like, as a small business owner, to able to afford health care – but to try and pass a national health care bill in the name of what’s best for the majority – pulling them kicking and screaming – because this is what’s best for ‘them’ is not acceptable.

I have to say I’m an independent and have voted in every Presidential Election since I was 18 – I’m not a member of the democratic or republican parties. I think we should have less government instead of more and I believe you are taking us down the wrong road. This is the first time in my adult life where I feel something is not quite right, where if it walks like a duck, quakes like a duck then it must be a duck moments.

So let me tell you what concerns me – I don’t mind that you’re talking to our kids in school – but it just seems a but propangandish when you ask them to write a letter in how they can support the President! Dear President, its not about you, its about our country. In three years we may elect someone else to sit in the White House – so remember and I think you tend to FORGET – it’s really not about YOU! So get off the kick – it seems you want to use propaganda left and right – but please leave it at the door. In our information age it just isn’t going to get past anyone.

  • We Can’t Spend Our Way Out of a Depression/Recession!

Please, please, no second round of stimulus! The first round of stimulus hasn’t worked – we don’t want another round of stimulus!

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Are the people in Washington insane? It seems to me they are — if you really want to help the people with no jobs — cut taxes for small business so they can hire the people who lost their jobs! Encourage entrepreneurship, invest in education — raising taxes — taking money from the rich — hmmmm — hasn’t been working – so cut your SPENDING – CUT TAXES – put money back in the pockets of people and stimulate business.

Don’t print more money we don’t have – quit selling our children’s future! The Chinese don’t have to attack our country because they own it!

  • Obama Fired Inspector General After He Accused Friend

    Obama Rating: Thumbs Down!

    Obama Rating: Thumbs Down!

It’s only been 6 months but Obama hasn’t wasted any time, last Wednesday, Gerald Walpin, a U.S. inspector general investigating the possible misuse of Americorps funds got a call from the Obama White House giving him the bad news, ‘you’re fired!’

The bottom line: Gerald Walpin accused a prominent Obama supporter of misusing AmeriCorps grant money. Who after being investigated had to repay grant money to the tune of $400,000. Yes, then Obama fired the inspector general who asked for the investigation of Obama’s friend.

Do you know why both the left and right are outraged by this firing? Because it is WRONG! But illustrates politics as usual, another show of cronyism in Washington.

  • Weekly Letter to President Obama

    Dear Mr. President,

I am disappointed in you recent actions. I am embarrassed by the gifts you gave Prime Minister Gordon Brown, the gift lacks real thoughtfulness. Really, it is amazing, Brown’s gifts were thoughtful and historical. Brown gave Obama a pen holder crafted from the timbers of the 19th century British warship HMS President (whose sister ship, HMS Resolute, provided the wood for the Oval Office’s desk) and then Mr. President you gave him 25 DVDs of American movie classics.

I can imagine one of your staff ran out a couple hours before the meeting and picked it up from the local Best Buy. Don’t you understand the importance of gifts like this — I even know there is a backstory to these things and racked with symbolism! You might want to educate the staff you’ve chosen on etiquette.

I’m also really concerned with some recent developments including you choice of Harold Koh as a legal advisor. I’m sure he’s a nice guy but there have been several “Islamic” issues creeping into our country’s foundational principles. I don’t have a problem with people choosing/practicing their own religion – but it isn’t OK to have these religious fundamentalists to come into our system and change it. Especially after the U.N. recently passing their “Anti-Blasphemy Resolution 62/145“.

This ‘global’ economy and kumbayah stuff is really disconcerting! It seems we’re on the path to loosing our autonomy and U.S. sovereignty and is scary!

Additionally what is going on with the gov’t taking over all the businesses and telling businesses how much they can pay their CEO’s. Where do we live? Is this Russia? On the road the communism? At the very least it seems we’re well on the way to socialism!

Sigh – no wonder everyone is scared, worried – you’re spending, spending, spending, taking over, trying to ‘take’ care of all of us — we don’t need you to take care of us – we don’t need you to spend our grand children’s inheritance, we don’t need you telling us or businesses how much they can make in a successful company.

Government – get out of our business – do what you have to, keep things going – but quit spending money and sticking your nose into our business!

    A Red-Blooded U.S. Citizen!
